If you have a domain registered through a third-party domain host — like hover.com or namecheap.com — you can link it to your Cargo Site by changing its DNS configuration.
Connect a third-party domain: Begin the process in the Settings tab → Connect an existing Domain Name → Enter a Third-Party Domain, and type or paste in your domain name (without the
www.
) and press enter. This will put the domain into a pending state. Next, you will need to change your domain’s nameservers (in your domain host’s interface) to point to Cargo’s nameservers, which are: ns1.cargo.site
and ns2.cargo.site
. Accessing the nameservers can vary between domain hosts, contact your host if you are having trouble locating them. For more information on adding a third-party domain, see this article.Connecting a domain without nameservers: If you’re unable to change your domain’s nameservers or prefer a different method, see this article.
Connecting a Third-Party Subdomain: To point a subdomain from your domain registrar, read about connecting a subdomain.
If you’re still having trouble: Cargo offers a free Domain Configuration Service.
